Penile curvature refers to an abnormal level of curvature of the penile shape. This curvature is usually due to abnormal development of the connective tissues surrounding the penile corpus or disease in this tissue (Peyronie’s).

Although the curvature is often seen upwards, it can be in different directions depending on the development of abnormal tissues. A normal penis should stand upright at a 90-degree angle during erection. Any angle disorder other than the condition in question is called penile curvature.

While penile curvature creates an aesthetically bad appearance, it can also cause problems such as difficulty in sexual intercourse or inability to maintain penile rigidity.
