Radio frequency laser injections

Radiofrequency ablation is a minimally invasive procedure that destroys nerve fibers that carry pain signals to the brain. It can provide lasting relief, especially for people with chronic pain in the lower back, neck, and arthritic joints. If you have recurrent pain and have had good relief with the nerve block injection, you may be a candidate for radiofrequency ablation.

Radiofrequency ablation, also called rhizotomy, is a non-surgical, minimally invasive procedure that uses heat to reduce or stop pain transmission. Radiofrequency waves attenuate or burn the nerve causing pain, essentially eliminating the transmission of pain signals to the brain.

This procedure is most commonly used to treat chronic pain and conditions such as spinal arthritis (spondylosis) and sacroiliitis. It is also used in the treatment of neck, back, knee, pelvic, and peripheral nerve pain.
